Virginie Says…
Last week was busy – and I feel like I neglected my blog. So, I decided to host a wee giveaway. So, here is your chance to win Pilate’s Wife by Antoinette May. I found myself with an extra hardcover copy and I want to share it with one of you!
Synopsis from B&N.
A daughter of privilege in the most powerful empire the world has ever known, Claudia has a unique and disturbing “gift”: her dreams have an uncanny way of coming true. As a rebellious child seated beside the tyrannical Roman Emperor Tiberius, she first spies the powerful gladiator who will ultimately be her one true passion. Yet it is the ambitious magistrate Pontius Pilate who intrigues the impressionable young woman she becomes, and Claudia finds her way into his arms by means of a mysterious ancient magic. Pilate is her grand destiny, leading her to Judaea and plunging her into a seething cauldron of open rebellion. But following her friend Miriam of Magdala’s confession of her ecstatic love for a charismatic religious radical, Claudia begins to experience terrifying visions—horrific premonitions of war, injustice, untold devastation and damnation . . . and the crucifixion of a divine martyr whom she must do everything in her power to save.
Here are the contest deets – For one entry, post with your email address. For another entry, link back to the giveaway on your blog or tweet about it. (@FleurDeMar)
Here are the simple rules – Contest is open to Canada and the US and ends on September 21. One entry per IP address, please, or all entries will be deleted.

… a Must read for me as Claudia is a character in my historical-fiction work-in-progress novel, ‘Anathema: The Secret Story of Jesus Before The Holy Gospels Were Written’.
I always wondered about her ‘note’ to her husband:
“Have nothing to do with this just man.” is That the real reason why Pilate released Barabbas?
Please count me in… looking forward to contributing.

I definitely want to read this. I am reading “Girl Mary” by Petru Popescu; which has Pontius Pilate luring young Mary and her family back from a safe exile.. and this means I am finally reading something that fits into the Four Month Challenge! Yay!
