Another year, another great pile of books read! I didn’t read as many books this year as I did last year. What with having a new job, I only got to 30 (Last year I read 52). It’s always so difficult trying to choose from so many wonderful books so again, it was random from my absolute faves.
Here is my ‘best of 2012‘ list and without further ado, in no particular order – – 2013!
I know, I know. This is three books, not one book (I’m cheating here!) and not my usual genre, either. However, these books sucked me in and didn’t let go. I’d love to see them made into a TV series.
I honestly can’t say enough about this book. I enjoyed it so, SO much. Lynn Cullen is amazing.
I reallyyyy loved this book. Stunning in every way, it’s the only book I saved a quote from this year. “If you could just grasp one thread of who you’ve been – of what you’ve lived – you’d be able to reel that past in and earn from all the different souls you’ve been”.
If you’ve been following my blog for awhile or know me personally, you know how much I love Marie Antoinette. Well, Juliet Grey does it better than anyone. The.End. The word that comes to mind is ‘brilliant’.
I actually read two books by this author this year and liked them both immensely. I’m hoping to find the time to read the other books in her trilogies next year.
Two books that I didn’t write reviews for this year were two of the best books I read all year. I know, I really should write reviews to show my appreciation! I will one day 🙂
