Book Drunkard

“I am simply a 'book drunkard.' Books have the same irresistible temptation for me that liquor has for its devotee. I cannot withstand them.” L.M. Montgomery

Reading for Charity

Tomorrow, at 5am, is the start of my third Dewey’s 24 hour read-a-thon.  I’ve never actually read an entire 24 hours (Church, kids and hockey usually pop up…) but I still enjoy it a lot and get a lot read and shopping for snacks and then eating them is a lot of fun!!

So this year, I’m doing something a bit different.  I’m reading in honour of my favourite charity, Canuck Place Children’s Hospice.

“Canuck Place Children’s Hospice provides specialized pediatric palliative care for children living with a life-threatening illness and support for their families throughout British Columbia.”

If anyone has the desire to sponsor me during my participation in read-a-thon activities and my reading adventure for a great charity, you can do so by clicking HERE.

  1. This is an AWESOME charity! Good luck in the read-a-thon!

  2. Cheers to you from a southern neighbor. I’ll be reading, too and raising $ for the New York Public Library. But reading about your cause kind of got me choked up. After the Read-A-Thon I am planning to check out your blog more extensively, to get historical fiction recommendations!
