Book Drunkard

“I am simply a 'book drunkard.' Books have the same irresistible temptation for me that liquor has for its devotee. I cannot withstand them.” L.M. Montgomery

A Darcy Christmas – Review

A Darcy Christmas by Amanda Grange, Sharon Lathan and Carolyn Eberhart  is a book of three short Christmas stories  based on the  characters of Pride and Prejudice.

Anyone who is familiar with Sourcebooks will recognize the names of the three authors and know their reputation when it comes to Austenesque books. (Well, not Carolyn Eberhart.  This is her first publication but certainly not her last!)  I think that what you expect from the book is what you’ll get.

I liked the book a lot.  The only thing I would suggest is switching the order of the first two stories.  For me, that would have helped with the flow of the entire thing.  Other than that, I wish I would have read it in the winter, wrapped in a blanket while drinking hot cider.  I think it’s the perfect holiday read and a nice gift for the person on your list who loves books and Austen!

  1. I started reading Sharon Latham’s series over a year ago .I am so happy that I did. Reading one of her books has become the most enjoyable part of my day.
Her styles of writing coupled with her story lines are what I call “a delicious meal for the romantic’s soul”. She has a wonderful way of creating an easy path for the reader to walk down that entices you with every word to keep on walking!

  2. Looks like I’ll have to read this one at some point. Thanks for the review!
