Book Drunkard

“I am simply a 'book drunkard.' Books have the same irresistible temptation for me that liquor has for its devotee. I cannot withstand them.” L.M. Montgomery

Readathon post 5 – Mini Challenge

The next mini challenge I’m going to take part in is hosted by Marg at Adventures of an Intrepid Reader.

Armchair Travelling

Every time I read a book, I travel to the places I read about.  A lot of the books I read are set in France which is where I’d like to be more than any place in the world – current location in Canada, aside.

The book I’m reading now is set in Biblical places and Marek Halter writes about these places with vivid and lush descriptions.  I wish I was there right now.  I’ve always wanted to travel, but haven’t had much chance thus far.

Back to reading!  (and travelling in my head)

  1. I haven’t traveled as much as I would like to but that’s the joy of reading isn’t it? We get to go so many places and if we just close our eyes…………

Good luck with the rest of the readathon.

  2. France is one that I often want to go to. I spent hours googling the French town of Carcassonne once!

Thanks so much for participating in my mini-challenge.
