Book Drunkard

“I am simply a 'book drunkard.' Books have the same irresistible temptation for me that liquor has for its devotee. I cannot withstand them.” L.M. Montgomery

Teaser Tuesday

Virginie Says…

Today’s teaser comes from a book I’m reading for review from the author.  I’m enjoying it thus far and my review will be posted shortly.

“She awoke in the depths of the night.  She had been dreaming of the faeries in the Vallee des Cracs.  For an instant she thought the dream was real, for she hears singing, a strange chilling sound, disturbing the pre-dawn stillness.  In the glow of the dying fire, Raphaelle climbed out of bed andslipped on her linen dressing gown, throwing a long woollen mantle about her shoulders.  She went to the window.”  The Night’s Dark Shade: A Novel of the Cathars by Elena Maria Vidal.

TEASER TUESDAYS is hosted by MizB of  Should Be Reading.   To add your own teaser,  just do the following:

– Grab whatever book you’re reading at the moment.
– Open up your book to a random page.
– Share two (2) teaser sentences.
– Make sure you share the title of the book, the author and any other relevant information so others will know which book you’re talking about – in case they want to read the book, too!
– No spoilers, please!

Check out other teasers around the blogs.
