Book Drunkard

“I am simply a 'book drunkard.' Books have the same irresistible temptation for me that liquor has for its devotee. I cannot withstand them.” L.M. Montgomery

  1. Hey everyone…I don’t remember which of you I updated last week and which I didn’t. Let me know if your total is wrong and I’ll change it!

  2. I might have Thirsty finished tomorrow – then I will have some more points – until then, nothing new.

  3. I don’t have anything this week either. I tried to read Ulysses for the 20pt Modern Library Top 100. I hated it and had to abandon it. I’m about halfway done with The Red Badge of Courage for 15pt Civil War, but don’t have high hopes of finishing it today.

  4. I read a vampire book – Dead Until Dark for 5 pts and an art themed book – Girl in Hyacinth Blue for 10 pts, giving me 45 total points.

  5. Once again, I don’t have anything to update due to the holiday this week, but should have 3 or 4 next week!

  6. Just reviewed my book with a proper name in the title: The Dream Life of Balso Snell

  7. I read a book by an author born in Dec. for 15 points. That brings my total up to 50. Yay!

  8. I finished audio book version of The Stupidest Angel by Christopher Moore for the wintery theme challenge worth 20 points, bringing my total to 55 points!

I feel a little guilty that two of my books for the challenge are by the same author, but I’m a little addicted. Hope it’s okay.

  9. Does The Carlyles by Cecily Von Ziegesar count as “proper name” in the title? If so I can include that one for last week?

  10. I’ve finished my first book, the one starting with A – Along for the Ride. So I guess that gives me 20 points?

  11. I finished Thirsty – for 15 points – author Kristin Bair-O’Keffee was born in February.
