Book Drunkard

“I am simply a 'book drunkard.' Books have the same irresistible temptation for me that liquor has for its devotee. I cannot withstand them.” L.M. Montgomery

  1. I’m currently reading O Juliet – I will hopefully have it finished for next weeks update. Nothing new for this week.

  2. Last week I read The Eyre Affair for the about/related to a Bronte for 5 points (I think that counts). Other than that, I’m kind of stuck, since I have a bunch of library books out that don’t fit the challenge.

Do you have any recommendations for the Georgette Heyer book? I’m not very familiar with her work and keep second guessing my choices.

  3. I think I did good this week. Next week should (hopefully) be huge since I picked up 5 books from the library for this challenge.

    I read:
5pts. Read a book with a proper name in the title

Sundays at Tiffany’s – James Patterson

    5pts. Read a book by a Bronte

    Jane Eyre – Charlotte Bronte

15pts. Read a book with characters inspired by King Arthur or about King Arthur/Camelot

The Forest House – Marion Zimmer Bradley

  4. I have nothing to add this week 😦 fingers crossed I get the VC Andrews book read next week.

  5. This week I finally finished Myself My Enemy- a book about Queen of England Henriett- Marie, Charles I’s consort. I’ll have my review up at Plaidy’s Royal Intrigue this week:)
    Have a great week- Thanks!

  6. Hey, me again! I was just looking over at my November reads and thought I should fetch myself another 20 points for reading a book and then writing a review! I’ll use The Lover’s Path ( or Cleopatra’s Daughter- either one I guess, since I wrote a book for both). Does that work for my 20?
    I Love this challenge!

  7. I think I have everyone updated now.

Lucy, when did you read Cleo’s Daughter? You could use that for the ‘proper name’ section of the challenge if it was in November…

  8. I have points! I’m so happy!

Oh, and good job to everyone else, I guess… 😉

  9. Nothing ready to post this week, but should have a couple more soon 🙂

  10. I read an art themed book – Girl in Hyacinth Blue for 10 points, and a vampire book, Dead Until Dark, for 5 points, giving me a total of 45 points.
    Great week!

  11. Yes!! I read Cleopatra’s daughter in November and posted my review on Nov. 13th! That’s great! BTW- I soo appreciate your doing the updating…I think I’d start losing track at some point;)

  12. I just finished O, Juliet for 15 points for something related to Shakespeare. But my review won’t be posted until January for our next Round Table!
