Book Drunkard

“I am simply a 'book drunkard.' Books have the same irresistible temptation for me that liquor has for its devotee. I cannot withstand them.” L.M. Montgomery

Virginie Says…

Today, my teaser comes from a book that is going to be my next giveaway!  As soon as I finish it/review it/etc.  It was donated by the author and I can’t thank her enough as I’m thoroughly enjoying the book so far.  Keep watching the blog for your chance to enter – it will be coming soon!

“On the crest of Deborah’s hill there stood a palm tree that had grown to gigantic proportions, apparently with the express purpose of shielding her from the scalding sun.  It had sprouted profuse long branches that curved gently outward and downward and provided her a cool, shady spot.  There she’d had an elaborately carved judge’s chair set up for herself, on which she would sit donned in her judge’s robes, of deep blue linen, with twelve white stripes – the number of the tribes of Isreal – running down its front.”  The Triumph of Deborah by Eva Etzioni-Halevy, page 29.

    Check out mine here.

    • It’s so excellent so far. I love books about Biblical people that we don’t know very much about. 🙂
