Book Drunkard

“I am simply a 'book drunkard.' Books have the same irresistible temptation for me that liquor has for its devotee. I cannot withstand them.” L.M. Montgomery

Well, I managed to finish The Catcher in the Rye last week and added 20 points to my total.  My  next challenge is to read a celebrity biography/autobiography and I chose Crawford: The Last Years by Carl Johnes.  It’s about Joan Crawford and is excellent so far. (I’m a huge Joan fan)

  1. I am finishing Memoirs of a Geisha, which is is from “thousand and one books to read before you die” list “) so I get 15 points more 🙂

  2. I show I should have 60pts

    5pts:

READ A HISTORICAL FICTION BOOK – World Without End by: Ken Follet

    10pts:

READ A BOOK ABOUT ROYALTY – Secrets of the Tudor Court: The Pleasure Palace by: Kate Emerson
READ A BOOK BY AN AUTHOR YOU’VE NEVER READ BEFORE – The Secrect Diary of Anne Boleyn by: Robin Maxwell

    15pts:

READ A BOOK BY AN AUTHOR BORN IN JUNE,JULY,AUGUST,SEPTEMBER – Missing by: Saron Sala born July 3rd

    20pts:

READ A BOOK IN A SERIES AND THE ONE AFTER IT- Mr. Darcy Takes a Wife & Day and Nights at Pemberly by: Linda Berdoll

  3. For next week’s total, I have read a book outside for 20 pts (I Was Amelia Earhart) and read a book for its cover for 5 pts (American Wife)
This puts my total to 105 pts. Woohoo!

Would it be possible to read a Jodi Picoult instead of a Danielle Steel? I understand completely if you don’t want to change the rules for me. I know I won’t read a Steel book this summer, and Picoult writes the mass market type of fiction, with some romance that Steel does.
    happy reading!
