Book Drunkard

“I am simply a 'book drunkard.' Books have the same irresistible temptation for me that liquor has for its devotee. I cannot withstand them.” L.M. Montgomery

Teaser Tuesday

Virginie Says…

Since I started T4MC, I’ve gotten really lazy with my blog, so I’m doing TWO teasers today.  Enjoy.

“He did not travel these streets often, only when in need of a new shirt, as he was now.  Children, their dirty faces pinched and undernourished, watched him with varying degrees of suspicion and curiosity, some going so far as to follow him from a distance.”  The Sidewalk Artist by Gina Buonaguro and Janice Kirk, page 26.

“Eva realized she hadn’t been listening when Isabelle shot a discreet glare from the corner of her eye.  The doctor seems as oblivious to the subtle c ommunications between ladies as all gentlemen were in life.”  From the Darkness Risen by Jessica Jewett, page 50.

TEASER TUESDAYS is hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading.   To add your own teaser, just do the following:
– Grab whatever book you’re reading at the moment.
– Open up your book to a random page.
– Share two (2) teaser sentences.
– Make sure you share the title of the book, the author and any other relevant information so others will know which book you’re talking about – in case they want to read the book, too!
– No spoilers, please!

Check out other teasers around the blogs.

  1. Hi Virginie,
Both your books sound interesting! I have posted a book for T4MC. I don’t know if it will count but I read it. “The Tale of Peter Rabbit” by Beatrix Potter. It is in the category of Read a Classic for 10 points. I sure hope this counts! If not let me know, OK. Have a great day!

    • Hi there! How many pages are in that book? I never made it a ‘rule’ or anything, but books should maybe be at least 100 pages? I dunno, I never really thought of that! hehe
