Book Drunkard

“I am simply a 'book drunkard.' Books have the same irresistible temptation for me that liquor has for its devotee. I cannot withstand them.” L.M. Montgomery

Teaser Tuesday

Virginie Says…

Today’s teaser comes from a book written by a friend of mine!  I’ve been dying to read it and finally got it back from my mother.

“The buggy came to a bumpy halt at the flank of the hospital, but Eva found herself speechless.  She observed Isabelle’s delicate profile — the way the shadows cast a melancholic pallor over her features.”  From the Darkness Risen, by Jessica Jewett, page 49.

– Grab whatever book you’re reading at the moment.
– Open up your book to a random page.
– Share two (2) teaser sentences.
– Make sure you share the title of the book, the author and any other relevant information so others will know which book you’re talking about – in case they want to read the book, too!
– No spoilers, please!

  2. I’m intrigued by this teaser.

  3. I am REALLY enjoying the book so far! In fact, I wish it wasn’t so hot out so I could do more reading outside! (this book was chosen as part of a challenge – I have to read the entire book outdoors).

  4. Hey, I just wanted to let you know that I challenged you to the Unimportant Meme over at my blog http://themaidenscourt.blogspot.com/2009/06/unimportant-meme.html. Have fun!
